The last day of PC 2010 was quite hectic as the capitulars got into the most responsible act of voting upon the chapter documents. The day started off with a guided mediation in the morning at 6.45 a.m.

As many things were to be completed on the last day of the Chapter, the proceedings of the day started off as early as at 7.00 a.m. The documents pertaining to GC 26 themes such as  `The urgent need for Evangelization,`  `Vocation ministry,`  ` New Frontiers` and `Evangelical Poverty,`  the document on `Organic Provincial Plan` and the provincial level document on `Ongoing formation`  came for a final discussion and were voted upon decisively.

The deliberations and the recommendations pertaining to all the above documents were carefully arrived at after sufficient amount of discussion, debate and discernment.  A few of the items on `Varia` which were not taken up the previous day were also thrown open to the floor for discussion and decision making.  The marathon voting  process got over only at 6.30 p.m. with lunch break (1 hour) and a very brief tea break in between.

The concluding session of PC 2010 which was held at 6.30 p.m., brought out the sentiments of joy and gratitude to God and to one another as everything went on well during PC 2010 as directed by the Lord.  Rev.Fr.Jeyapalan, the Moderator thanked all his close collaborators with a gift and a memento. Rev.Fr.Stanislaus Swamikannu Sdb, the Provincial, in his turn, profusely thanked the Moderator on behalf of the chapter members for the wonderful work carried out by him. He also appreciated the capitulars for their enthusiastic and active participation.

With an overwhelming sense of contentment, the chapter members gathered at 7.20 p.m. at SIGA Hall for the concluding thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration with the Mass of Blessed Michael Rua.  Fr.Provincial, presiding over the celebration invited everyone to be faithful sons of Don Bosco like Don Rua whose death centenary we commemorate this year. After the communion service, the Moderator handed over the documents of PC 2010 to Fr.Provincial, who after receiving it, officially declared the PC 2010 closed.

The chapter members dispersed with a sense of satisfaction to their communities to share and enjoy the grace of PC 2010 with their fellow confreres and the beneficiaries of our Charism.

A few samples of the sentiments of the chapter members on the last day:

`It was a well planned and well participated chapter; enthusiasm was visibly seen in all. Hope and pray, real renewal happens with the same enthusiasm. -Fr.Bellarmine

The experience at PC 2010 was very formative as one third of the province was directly animated through the participation in the chapter. - Fr.Daniel Ambrose

It is an enriching experience for me to witness the provincial chapter 2010. It is quite obvious that the members participate with lot of seriousness and concern for the province.  - Bro.Praveen (Scrutineer)

Personally, I am very glad to see for the first time so many young confreres in such a large number participating in the provincial chapter; it is certainly indicative of the young leadership that is blooming in our province. I am also quite impressed by the way the members of PC 2010 in unison have accepted and expressed support to make conscious effort to promote brotherhood vocation. However, I eagerly wait to see things taking concrete shape. -  Bro.Meril Rodrigo

Preparation for the provincial chapter was done very well and the materials sent to the houses by the commissions were well prepared and not very cumbersome. The chapter could have been held for five full days so as to avoid rushing to finish up. - Fr.Joy Panackal

It was enriching to have three Salesian Bishops during the Chapter days for the Eucharistic celebration. The moderator is to be appreciated and congratulated for his hard and sacrificing work. - Fr.Maria Selvam

The PC 2010 was well organized seeing to the smallest details. This provincial chapter gave great importance to direct evangelization. - Fr.John Peter Sathiaraj

I am happy to have witnessed during PC 2010 the `fraternal spirit` that reigns in our dear Province of Chennai. - Fr.Vincent Durairaj
