On 5th of September, the animation began with a short prayer service conducted by Fr.Harris Pakkam sdb who inculcated the mind of Don Bosco to all the participants. After the prayer service, Fr.Joe Andrew, the Vice Provincial invited the clerics to take an active participation during the animation and he finally introduced Fr.John Rosario to the brothers and invited him to share his ideas and knowledge on Don Bosco.. News in General, Salesian Family Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur (INM), took privilege of pride to organise the funeral of Rev. Fr. Benjamin Puthota SDB, a zealous salesian. The funeral mass was celebrated on 3rd of September at 9.45 a.m. It was His Lordship Soundaraj, Bishop of Vellore and Joseph Antony, Bishop of Dharmapuri along with provincials of various provinces, who celebrated the Holy Mass, commending to the Heavenly Father the soul of a great and energetic Salesian Priest.

News in General, Sports The campus of Sacred Heart College was filled with colourful flags and uniforms for Annual Sports day. It was conducted by Fr Maria Soosai, the Vice Principal of the college along with the help of Principal, Rev. Fr Antony Raj, Physical director and other staff members. It was held on 2nd of September, at 9.30 am. The chief guest was Mr R.I Palani, who is director of TNCA Cricket Academy and he is also the founder and director of the Chennai St Bede`s Sports Foundation. This Annual Sports day brought the talents of the students as well as it showed their unity in their participation. And it remained as a hall mark in the college.

It was Professor K. Arockia Raj along with the H.O.D and other faculty members, who planned well and encouraged all the social work trainees to conduct praise-worthily the inter-departments tournament in view of the memorial of Fr Jude Edwin on 29th and 30th August 2009. It was a great day for the Salesians to celebrate his death anniversary with a meaningful Holy Eucharist Celebration on 30th August, at 11.00 am.

The sudden and unexpected demise of Rev. Fr. Benjamin Puthota SDB, in Isatabul, Turkey, came as a shock. A great Salesian legend who put himself at the service of the Congregation passed away to his eternal reward. At times we don`t understand God`s plans which are so mysterious! But we surrender ourselves in faith.
