INM PC 2010 - PREPARATORY MEETING

| Chennai, Jan. 19. The Salesian Province of Chennai on 13th January 2010 organised the preparatory session of Provincial Chapter 2010. This preliminary session was envisaged to offer fine tunings to the preparations for the Provincial Chapter 2010. |

At 9 am. in the Don Bosco Hall of Deepagam, Moderator of the chapter Fr. Jayapalan welcomed everyone present the Rectors, elected delegates of the local community, Province delegates, observers, secretaries, scrutinieers and time keepers. The session began its schedule with an invocation to the Holy Spirit reminding ourselves as it is the time of grace. Fr. Provincial the president for the chapter lauded its members for being part of it is as not just an honour but also manifestation of greater trust placed by our confreres. He invited all the members to take part in it with greater zest to make it a grand success. The day`s proceeding witnessed the presentation of the draft documents of the chapter, prepared by the pre-capitular commission along with the Moderator of the Chapter. The working documents on Return to Don Bosco, Evangelization, Vocation ministry, Poverty, new Frontiers organic provincial plan and ongoing formation were presented and all were accepted as the chapter documents. The other regular features such as formation of the commisisions, election of the commission heads and secretaries and the formation of steering committee, approval of the time table and schedule of the chapter, rules and regulations took its course. The just concluded preliminary session is surely a red carpeted preparation to the Provincial Chapter to be held from 01-02-2010 to 05-02-2010. The pre-chapter clearly portrayed the end of the preparatory processes that commenced from the month on July 2009. Now the entire Province is looking for its grand opening with ``Return...Renew...Relaunch...`` as the theme of the chapter to enhance the genuine renewal of our Salesian vocation and greater enrichment of the province mission.
