News in General, Disasters, The Regional, Education School (ANS - Dimapur) - On Thursday 11 February a fire broke out in a small student hostel near the Don Bosco Institute in Palin, in the State of Arunachal Pradesh (AP), bordering China in the ``India-Dimapur`` Province. 14 children died and another 6 are in hospital. News in General, Chapter, Salesian Family, The Regional Fourth day of Provincial Chapter of Chennai 2010 began with the Eucharist celebrating the Feast of St. John D` Britto with the theme of the day ``New Challenges- Called to Relaunch.`` Most Rev. Dr. Soundaraju Perianayagam, Bishop of Vellore, presided over the Eucharist. He drove home a point that we Salesians have to divest ourselves of our old ways of dealing with the urgent needs of the youth today. Self emptying, he emphasised, as one sure way of divesting ourselves. Salesians have to be self-emptying as Christ did to become fully available to the young.
